The Pawty Palace Policies

In order to provide the excellent service that has become synonymous with the Pawty Palace, we ask that you please familiarize yourself with the following salon policies. This will allow for a smooth-running schedule so we can continue to provide the high-quality, one-on-one service you have come to expect.

 

CANCELLATIONS: Please give at least 48 hours’ prior notice if you must cancel your appointment. Last minute cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) will incur a $35 fee.

 

LATENESS: If you are running late, please call as soon as possible to let us know. If you are runnping more than 30 minutes late, you may have to reschedule. We will try our best to accommodate you. After one hour You are considered a no show and will be charged for full groom at your next visit.

 

NO SHOWS: If you do not show for your appointment (without notice), you will be billed for the full groom and will have to pay in advance to secure future appointments.

 

MAINTENANCE SCHEDULES: Proper maintenance is necessary to keep your pet looking & feeling his/her best. We will help you decide a time schedule for your pet's grooming maintenance (usually every' 4-8 weeks). If you exceed this time frame  your pets coat could lose the desired condition you would like (due to knotting, excessive shedding & undercoat removal, etc.). This could cuase additional cost at your next visit to get your pet back to recommended coat condition.

 

PET PICK-UP: When you drop your dog off at the salon, you will be given an approximate time for pick up (Average 2-3 hours). We will call you about 15  minutes before your dog is finished and ready to be picked up. We are flexible and no additional charge is incurred if you let us know when you can pick up. We only ask you to be courtoeus to closing times.

 

CURRENT VACCINATIONS: By signing this contract, owners verify their pet(s) are current on Rabies, Distemper and Parvo-Virus. Proof of Vaccination or current Titer Testing shall be provided to Pawty Palace at their first appointment and subsequently when vaccinations have been updated.

 


AGGRESSIVE PETS: If your pet shows sign of extreme aggression, the session will be terminated. All necessary steps are taken here to keep your pet calm & relaxed. Some animals have had bad past grooming experiences, or no experience at all, and they will need some time to learn to trust their groomer. In cases such as these, we recommend breaking the sessions down into smaller, more tolerable sessions - with the ultimate goal of building up to a full session. Additional fees will be incurred.

 

SKUNKED DOGS: We do offer a de-skunking treatment but need advance notice for this service. There is a $50 charge for this service for standard sized dogs.

 

ACCIDENTS: There is always the possibility an accident could occur as grooming equipment is sharp. We use extreme caution and care in all situations, but possible problems could include cuts, nicks, scratches or quicking of nails. If you arrive early to pick up your pet and they are still being groomed, PLEASE do not talk to them or allow yourself to be seen as this can excite your pet and will make it dangerous for us to work on them. If you insist on talking to your pet, we reserve the right to terminate the grooming session and you will be responsible for the full grooming fee.

 

FLEAS & TICKS: If you notice your fur-kid has fleas, please tell us so we can discuss options. For a heavy infestation we may need to treat your pet with CAPSTAR so that the other clients are not infected. We will treat your pet at our discretion and there will be a $10 charge for this service. A clean well-groomed pet is the best way to keep a flea problem at bay.

 

DEMATTING: If your dog becomes severely matted, he/she will probably have to be shaved. Even for tolerant dogs, dematting large or sensitive areas is excruciatingly painful and potentially dangerous. It is in your pets' best interest to be shaved and comfortable, the hair will grow back sooner than you think. We will also help you learn how to properly brush and maintain your dogs coat so you can avoid another shaving session in the future.

 

HOLD HARMLESS: By signing this contract you (or your Agent) agree to hold Pawty Palace, it's owners, employees and operators harmless from any damage, loss or claim arising from any condition of the undersigned pet. It is also further understood and agreed that the terms of this agreement can change at any time without notice and will overwrite any and all prior signed contracts or releases.
